TPD Strengthens Horse Racing Status In Latin America Through Partnership With ElTurf
Real-time race data support General performance data (TPD) strengthened its position by Latin American (LatAm) horse racing market through partnership with ElTurf.com .
In addition to its status as a global market, the addition of Latin America allowed TPD to expand its operations across three continents, already maintaining a presence in Europe and North America.
TPD will provide live racing graphics, timing, step patterns and new betting opportunities in a “value-for-money package” that is expected to “prove popular” as the sport returns to normal after numerous national coronavirus-related bans.
The data provider currently operates on 24 UK tracks including Ascot, Chester and Doncaster, in addition to 16 American race tracks such as Tampa Bay, Woodbine and Del Mar.
Will Duff Gordon , CEO of Total Performance Data, said: “We are delighted to be working with Gonzalo Reyes and the ElTurf team to install as many tracks as possible in Latin America.
"Sports and betting are becoming more global and we hope to offer the same information about horse racing in Chester or Chile."
TPD currently tracks over 300,000 horse performances at 30,000 races in the UK, USA and Canada and has been used extensively internationally by racetracks, owners, coaches, in-game betting companies and professional players.
The firm intends to leverage its partnership with ElTurf to reflect its North American deployment strategy in collaboration with Equibase - and continue its commercial strategy of "24/7 and global horse tracking" by signing up a client of the Chilean racetrack.
“We are very excited to start working with TPD in Latin America, as it means advancing in the areas we like the most, technology and data,” added Gonzalo Reyes , director of ElTurf.com
“It will be of great benefit to Hispanic fans, who will have new information for betting decisions and improved graphics in the streaming service.
“This technology will significantly increase the level of information to accelerate the export of races to more demanding and significantly larger markets. All of this will be rolled out during our first installation, and then expanded to other racetracks in the region, with information available on our ElTurf.com platform. "
