Safe Bet Show: Technology Is The Greatest Asset For Responsible Gaming
Responsible gambling has become a key area of activity for many operators, many companies have taken initiatives, but EPIC Risk Management 's Brianne Dora-Chavol b elite that more can and should be done, especially with regard to the use of technology as an asset.

Defining responsible gambling as “the desire of all stakeholders in the world of gambling” to create sound, evidence-based policies with the long-term goal of protecting the vulnerable and developing a secure gambling market, the Vice President argued that the gambling industry should take a macro-level approach focused on protecting vu
To achieve this, Dora-Shawol emphasized that the sector needs to increase its use of technology as a means of communicating with customers, encouraging positive play and discussing betting behaviors such as spending patterns and time spent playing.
“It's amazing the more I learn about artificial intelligence and how we can use it to understand player behavior,” she said. “I think technology is our greatest asset in the world of rhythmic gymnastics right now, and I don’t think we have included it enough in our discussions at the policy stage or in our day-to-day work. Many of them have been used to innovate the gambling industry, and I would like to see them move into the RG game.
“The ultimate goal of the game should be to reduce the number of people currently struggling with gambling disorder and to ensure that those numbers remain low. We know that we will never get rid of gambling addiction or disorder, even a ban will not do it, but we can and must do much more to protect our clients. "
In addition, she also discussed the widespread impact of gambling and the associated harm to US military personnel, highlighting how the US Department of Defense (DoD) operates over 3,000 slot machines at military bases around the world.
“The Department of Defense makes hundreds of millions of dollars from our men and women in uniform and their families,” she said.
“It is imperative to understand that our men and women in military uniform are more susceptible to or fight gambling disorder, in fact it can be up to three times more than the general population.
“Not only are they more vulnerable, but we are delivering the product to them and they have no way to seek treatment. or have access to help, or even know where to get help, or find some tips on how to play responsibly on the hotline. "
